Electricity shut-off notice: help Qasim pay $600
A disconnection notice for electricity arrived and Qasim needs $600 before November.

The electricity account is 4 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless I pay $600. I have never been late before August's medical emergency.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $115 first, which I don't have.
I live with three children under ten, and going through summer without electricity isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
Every dollar goes to the account in Qasim's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates.
Where the $600 goes:
• Electricity arrears: $280
• Reconnection and late fees: $115
• Down payment on a payment plan: $205

Sending strength, Qasim. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Greetings from Philadelphia
Best of luck. Looking forward to the next update. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Thinking of Latina.
