Electricity shut-off notice: help Murugan pay $100
A disconnection notice for electricity arrived and Murugan needs $100 before February.

The electricity account is 4 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on February unless I pay $100. I have never been late before a reduction in hours.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $20 first, which I don't have.
I live with two young children, and going through the rainy season without electricity isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
Where the $100 goes:
• Gas arrears: $45
• Reconnection and late fees: $25
• Down payment on a payment plan: $30

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Murugan
Sure. The biggest one is gas arrears, $45. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. It helps to be asked.
