The electricity account is 2 months behind. Mercy received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on January unless $100 is paid. She had never been late before losing my job in October. Mercy called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $25 first, which isn't available. The household includes an elderly mother, and going through the rainy season without electricity isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by. Mercy is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady. The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
