The electricity account is 4 months behind. Malee received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on June unless $150 is paid. She had never been late before a reduction in hours.
Malee called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $35 first, which isn't available.
The household includes a parent on oxygen therapy, and going through the cold months without electricity isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by.
Malee is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
Every dollar goes to the account in Malee's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates.
