Electricity shut-off notice: help Kunle pay $100
A disconnection notice for electricity arrived and Kunle needs $100 before July.

The electricity account is 4 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on July unless I pay $100. I have never been late before an unexpected car repair.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $20 first, which I don't have.
I live with an elderly mother, and going through the rainy season without electricity isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
Where the $100 goes:
• Electricity arrears: $70
• Reconnection and late fees: $20
• Down payment on a payment plan: $10
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Hang in there, Kunle. I hope things turn around soon. I'll check back for the next update. Thinking of Ogbomosho
You're not alone. Shared it with a few friends. After 29 years in social work I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care.
