The electricity account is 2 months behind. Ewa received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on October unless $350 is paid. She had never been late before losing my job in June. Ewa called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $75 first, which isn't available. The household includes an elderly mother, and going through the rainy season without electricity isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by.
