The electricity account is 4 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless I pay $100. I have never been late before my partner leaving the household. I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $20 first, which I don't have. I live with a parent on oxygen therapy, and going through the rainy season without electricity isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature. I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady. Every dollar goes to the account in Citra's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates. Where the $100 goes: • Water arrears: $40 • Reconnection and late fees: $10 • Down payment on a payment plan: $50 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Citra
