Electricity shut-off notice: help Arun pay $100
Arun is behind on electricity bills after August's medical emergency and needs $100 to avoid a shut-off.

The electricity account is 3 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless I pay $100. I have never been late before August's medical emergency.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $10 first, which I don't have.
I live with a disabled brother, and going through the cold months without electricity isn't safe. We can't cook, keep medicine cold or heat the home.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
Where the $100 goes:
• Heating arrears: $55
• Reconnection and late fees: $15
• Down payment on a payment plan: $30
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

You're not alone, Arun. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. I'll check back for the next update
Wishing you the best. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Aurangabad.
Hope things get better soon. Hope you get there. Put this on a community board in Glasgow this morning.
Thinking of you and your family, Arun. Your post was clear and honest. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. God bless.
Take care, Arun. I hope things turn around soon. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings.
Praying for you. Your post was clear and honest. Thinking of Aurangabad.
