Electricity shut-off notice: help Alice pay $1,050

The electricity account is 2 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on May unless I pay $1,050. I have never been late before a reduction in hours. I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $100 first, which I don't have.
