The electricity and water account is 4 months behind. Rin received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless $500 is paid. She had never been late before my partner leaving the household.
Rin called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $100 first, which isn't available.
The household includes a disabled brother, and going through summer without electricity and water isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home.
Rin is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
Every dollar goes to the account in Rin's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates.

• Utility arrears: $210
• Reconnection and late fees: $100
• Down payment on a payment plan: $190
