The electricity and water account is 3 months behind. Mahnoor received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on August unless $50 is paid. She had never been late before losing my job in May.
Mahnoor called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $15 first, which isn't available.
The household includes a newborn, and going through the cold months without electricity and water isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by.
Mahnoor is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
Every dollar goes to the account in Mahnoor's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates.
