The electricity and water account is 4 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on August unless I pay $800. I have never been late before losing my job in May. I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $85 first, which I don't have. I live with an elderly mother, and going through winter without electricity and water isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature. I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady. Every dollar goes to the account in Dennis's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates. Where the $800 goes: • Utility arrears: $450 • Reconnection and late fees: $130 • Down payment on a payment plan: $220 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Dennis
