The electricity and water account is 4 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on October unless I pay $150. I have never been late before a reduction in hours. I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $25 first, which I don't have. I live with three children under ten, and going through summer without electricity and water isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by. I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady. The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here. Where the $150 goes: • Gas arrears: $80 • Reconnection and late fees: $15 • Down payment on a payment plan: $55 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Auma

  • Stay strong. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. I went through something like this 4 years ago and strangers helped me out
