Jakarta Selatan
For six years I have run a bicycle repair shop in Jakarta Selatan. In August, the demolition of the market took a full set of tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 3 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go. Where the $600 goes: • Replacing a full set of tools: $360 • Initial stock: spare parts: $125 • Shop repairs and licensing: $30 • Working capital for the first month: $85 Thank you for reading my story. - Eka

Updates from Eka

  1. Thank you all. We're at 36% now ($216). I'm honestly stunned. I made the first payment toward shop repairs and licensing.

So sorry you're going through this, Eka. Shared it with a few friends. I went through something like this 14 years ago and strangers helped me out.
