Edward needs a braille note-taker - help us make it happen
Edward needs a braille note-taker that the health system won't fund; the cost is $100.

I live with a spinal cord injury. My occupational therapist at the Accra Mobility Clinic has assessed me and recommended a braille note-taker. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $100.
My current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment I could go outside without waiting for someone to push. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $100 goes:
• Delivery and set-up: $25
• First-year servicing plan: $45
• Fitting and training sessions: $30
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

sending strength, Edward. Wishing Edward a smooth procedure and a full recovery
is there anything that isn't money that would help Edward?
So sorry you're going through this, Edward. Shared it with a few friends. Put this on a community board in La Plata this morning. Greetings from La Plata.
Thinking of you. This could happen to any of us. Wish I lived closer to Augsburg so I could bring a meal.
Good luck, Edward. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Blessings
You're not alone, Edward. Hope the doctors have good news. Sent it to 31 people at work.
