Eduardo's palate reconstruction surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill

Eduardo was diagnosed with a thyroid nodule that needs removal in April. The surgeon at Ribeirão Preto Regional Medical Center recommended palate reconstruction surgery, and He is scheduled for July. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,850, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $1,300 short.
my husband has been in and out of Ribeirão Preto Regional Medical Center since April. The doctors say a thyroid nodule that needs removal will get worse without palate reconstruction surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,850 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Eduardo struggles with daily life and can't walk without help. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 10 weeks. During that time Eduardo won't be able to walk without help, so the costs keep growing.
