Ebo's prostate cancer treatment fund
Ebo is facing prostate cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

In July I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. My oncology team at the Obuasi Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in October. I was told to expect about 3 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 41, I worked as a farmer until July, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to the Obuasi Oncology Institute 3 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $1,100 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $550
• Scans and lab work: $140
• Transport to the Obuasi Oncology Institute: $200
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $60
• Household costs while unable to work: $150

Thinking of you and your family, Ebo. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.
