Dylan was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in August. The oncology team at Austin Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 8 weeks. Dylan is 26, worked as a bank teller until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Austin Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $7,450 goes: • Scans and lab work: $1,400 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $3,500 • Household costs while unable to work: $2,100 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $450 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
