Dylan's knee replacement surgery can't wait - please help us cover the bill
After a deviated septum causing chronic infections, Dylan was cleared for knee replacement surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Dylan was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections in November. The surgeon at Springfield Community Hospital recommended knee replacement surgery, and He is scheduled for January. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,450, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $1,150 short.
my father has been in and out of Springfield Community Hospital since November. The doctors say a deviated septum causing chronic infections will get worse without knee replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,450 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Dylan struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Dylan won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $1,150 goes:
• Physiotherapy sessions: $330
• Travel and lodging for the family: $370
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $450
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
