Dustin's thyroid cancer treatment fund
10 rounds of treatment are planned at Columbus University Hospital; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.
🇺🇸 Columbus, Georgia, United States730 views
Dustin was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in July. The oncology team at Columbus University Hospital has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. He will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Dustin is 29, worked as a bus conductor until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Columbus University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $4,900 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $880
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $3,150
• Transport to Columbus University Hospital: $870
Thank you so much.

Hang in there, Henry. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I'll check back for the next update.
Hope it all works out. I hope things turn around soon. It's not much but it's yours. Take care.
Sending love. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. God bless.
Wishing you peace. Shared this with my family. I hope November is when things finally get easier. Greetings from Charlotte.
Stay strong. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't give up. Blessings.
