Dublin storm relief - the Old Town district
After the storm, families in the Old Town district need clean water, roofing materials and bedding.

The storm hit the Old Town district on 7 September. My home was one of 28 damaged, and 6 families are still in temporary shelter at the sports club.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
We buy supplies locally and in bulk, so the money goes further. Receipts and photos will be posted in updates.
Where the $3,800 goes:
• Tools and labor for repairs: $880
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $1,250
• Food parcels for displaced families: $1,670
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Hang in there. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Blessings
Sending love, Kathleen. Shared it with a few friends. It's not much but it's yours. All the best
Hope things get better soon, Kathleen. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.
