Douglas's a craniotomy can't wait - please help us cover the bill
Douglas needs a craniotomy at Flint General Hospital and the family is $3,550 short of the hospital's estimate.

Douglas was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in the right knee in June. The surgeon at Flint General Hospital recommended a craniotomy, and He is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $4,450, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $3,550 short.
my husband has been in and out of Flint General Hospital since June. The doctors say osteoarthritis in the right knee will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $4,450 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Douglas struggles with daily life and can't walk without help. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 10 weeks. During that time Douglas won't be able to walk without help, so the costs keep growing.
