Dorcas's multiple myeloma treatment fund
Supporting Dorcas through multiple myeloma: medication, transport to Jinja Regional Medical Center, and living costs while She can't work.
🇺🇬 Uganda714 views
Dorcas was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in August. The oncology team at Jinja Regional Medical Center has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Dorcas is 34, worked as a nurse until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Jinja Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $350 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $90
• Household costs while unable to work: $155
• Transport to Jinja Regional Medical Center: $105
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Thinking of you and your family. It takes guts to ask. Well done. It's not much but it's yours. Love from Amritsar
gave what I could, wish it was more. I have a 11 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Thinking of Jinja!
Sending love. Looking forward to the next update. My neighbor in Utrecht donated after I showed her your page.
Best of luck. Shared it with a few friends. Sent it to 27 people at work. Take care.
You're not alone, Kariuki. Get well soon. It's not much but it's yours. Love from Udaipur.
