Donna was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in May. The oncology team at Springfield Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in July. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks. Donna is 49, worked as a shop owner until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Springfield Cancer Centre 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $10,600 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $7,750 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,500 • Scans and lab work: $1,350 Thank you for reading my story.
