The heating account is 2 months behind. Regina received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on September unless $150 is paid. She had never been late before losing my job in May.
Regina called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $35 first, which isn't available.
The household includes a newborn, and going through winter without heating isn't safe. We can't cook, keep medicine cold or heat the home.
Regina is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
