The water account is 4 months behind. Mahesh received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless $100 is paid. He had never been late before losing my job in August.
Mahesh called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $25 first, which isn't available.
The household includes three children under ten, and going through the cold months without water isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature.
Mahesh is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
Every dollar goes to the account in Mahesh's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates.
