The heating account is 4 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on October unless I pay $700. I have never been late before July's medical emergency. I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $55 first, which I don't have. I live with a disabled brother, and going through winter without heating isn't safe. We can't cook, keep medicine cold or heat the home. I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady. The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here. Where the $700 goes: • Heating arrears: $350 • Reconnection and late fees: $65 • Down payment on a payment plan: $285 Thank you for reading my story.

Wishing you the best. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Love from Kathmandu.

Sending good thoughts. Looking forward to the next update. After 18 years in engineering I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
