The electricity and water account is 3 months behind. Junaid received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless $50 is paid. He had never been late before a reduction in hours.
Junaid called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $20 first, which isn't available.
The household includes two young children, and going through summer without electricity and water isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home.
Junaid is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
