Don't let Joyce's family go through winter without electricity
A disconnection notice for electricity arrived and Joyce needs $100 before July.

The electricity account is 4 months behind. Joyce received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on July unless $100 is paid. She had never been late before my partner leaving the household.
Joyce called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $30 first, which isn't available.
The household includes a parent on oxygen therapy, and going through winter without electricity isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by.
Joyce is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
Every dollar goes to the account in Joyce's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates.
Where the $100 goes:
• Electricity arrears: $65
• Reconnection and late fees: $20
• Down payment on a payment plan: $15
Every share and every dollar helps.

Can I help in a way that isn't money? I'm near Bacolod.
Thank you. If you're in Bacolod I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Thanks for asking.
a colleague of mine might know someone for this in Negros Occidental. I'll ask around and let you know.
Take care. Looking forward to the next update. Wish I lived closer to Ibadan so I could bring a meal.
sending love, Liza. This could happen to any of us. Put this on a community board in Davao City this morning. Thinking of Bacolod.
