The gas account is 3 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on September unless I pay $600. I have never been late before a reduction in hours.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $75 first, which I don't have.
I live with two young children, and going through the cold months without gas isn't safe. We can't cook, keep medicine cold or heat the home.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
Every dollar goes to the account in Ivy's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates.
Where the $600 goes:
• Electricity arrears: $330
• Reconnection and late fees: $80
• Down payment on a payment plan: $190
Every share and every dollar helps.

You're not alone, Ivy. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My neighbor in Riyadh donated after I showed her your page. Love from Riyadh
Take care, Ivy. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon
hope it all works out, Ivy. Shared it with a few friends. I'm in teaching myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. All the best
Looking forward to the next update. Sent it to 31 people at work. Thinking of Duluth.
You're not alone, Ivy. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. Put this on a community board in Mbarara this morning.
