The electricity account is 3 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless I pay $100. I have never been late before an unexpected car repair. I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $25 first, which I don't have. I live with a parent on oxygen therapy, and going through winter without electricity isn't safe. The children would have no light to study by. I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady. Every dollar goes to the account in Henok's name; a copy of the paid bill will be shared in the updates. Where the $100 goes: • Utility arrears: $25 • Reconnection and late fees: $25 • Down payment on a payment plan: $50 I hope life is good to you. - Henok

  • Hope things get better soon. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Greetings from Katowice.

    • Hope things get better soon, Henok. Hope this works out for you. My husband and I read this together. Greetings from Mombasa.
