The electricity account is 4 months behind. Erica received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless $800 is paid. She had never been late before losing my job in August.
Erica called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $80 first, which isn't available.
The household includes a disabled brother, and going through winter without electricity isn't safe. We can't cook, keep medicine cold or heat the home.
Erica is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
