Don't let Adel's family go through summer without electricity
Help Adel cover an overdue electricity bill so the household stays safe this summer.
🇪🇬 Egypt212 views
The electricity account is 3 months behind. Adel received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on January unless $100 is paid. He had never been late before October's medical emergency.
Adel called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $25 first, which isn't available.
The household includes a disabled brother, and going through summer without electricity isn't safe. We can't cook, keep medicine cold or heat the home.
Adel is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
Where the $100 goes:
• Heating arrears: $35
• Reconnection and late fees: $20
• Down payment on a payment plan: $45
With deep gratitude,
Lina

Is there anything that isn't money that would help Adel?
Thank you. If you're in Cairo I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. It helps to be asked.
Hang in there, Lina. Shared this with my family.
Good luck, Lina. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Greetings from Colorado Springs
