Dolores was diagnosed with colon cancer in June. The oncology team at San Cristóbal de las Casas Regional Medical Center has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Dolores is 26, worked as a bank teller until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to San Cristóbal de las Casas Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
