Mysuru
Dipika was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in August. The oncology team at the Mysuru Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks. Dipika is 26, worked as a tailor until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Mysuru Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $450 goes: • Household costs while unable to work: $200 • Scans and lab work: $155 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $95 Thanks for reading all this.
