Dineo needs two washing machines and a dryer to reopen a laundry service
A laundry service in Pretoria needs help replacing two washing machines and a dryer after the demolition of the market.

For four years I have run a laundry service in Pretoria. In August, the demolition of the market took two washing machines and a dryer. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Monday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 8 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go.
Where the $1,200 goes:
• Replacing two washing machines and a dryer: $800
• Shop repairs and licensing: $175
• Initial stock: detergent and packaging: $225
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Dineo.
Replacing two washing machines and a dryer is $800 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Good question.
Good luck, Dineo. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes.
Hope it all works out. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Greetings from Laval.
Thinking of you. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'm in social work myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you!
