Help me pay for cataract surgery at London Community Hospital
Alice needs cataract surgery at London Community Hospital and the family is $3,900 short of the hospital's estimate.

In August I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in the right knee. My surgeon at London Community Hospital recommended cataract surgery, and I have been placed on the schedule for October. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $7,750, and after what the government subsidy will pay, I'm still $3,900 short.
Doctors at London Community Hospital told me osteoarthritis in the right knee will get worse without cataract surgery. I work as a security guard, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $7,750 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a security guard have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
The recovery period is expected to take about 7 weeks. I'll not be able to drive during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. surgeon and anesthesia fees comes first ($2,250) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Good question.
