Dignity in old age: caring for Tuhin
Help Tuhin stay in his own home with eight months of part-time care.
🇮🇳 Telangana, India877 views
I'm caring for my father, who's 79. After worsening Parkinson's disease Tuhin can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Tuhin desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Tuhin worked all of his life as a nurse, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $650 goes:
• Medication and prescriptions: $80
• Part-time carer (eight months): $540
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $30
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
