I'm caring for my father, who's 94. After a fall and hip fracture Tobias can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Tobias desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Tobias worked all of his life as a farmer, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $4,850 goes:
• Part-time carer (three months): $3,650
• Medication and prescriptions: $430
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $370
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $400

It's all in the list in the story. part-time carer (three months) is the big one at $3,650, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. It helps to be asked.
