Dignity in old age: caring for Tharun
Tharun, 75, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $900 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for me, who's 75. After a heart attack Tharun can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Tharun desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Tharun worked all of his life as a seamstress, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $900 goes:
• Part-time carer (three months): $710
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $60
• Medication and prescriptions: $130
With deep gratitude,
Tharun

So sorry you're going through this. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Greetings from Badagry.
