I'm caring for my father, who's 82. After a stroke last December Taro can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Taro desperately wants to stay at home. I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer. Taro worked all of his life as a nurse, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference. The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices. Where the $2,250 goes: • Hospital bed and mattress rental: $155 • Part-time carer (six months): $1,600 • Medication and prescriptions: $495 Thanks for being kind about this.

Updates from Ryota

  1. Update from Tokyo: I met with the care agency and confirmed the amounts. We're at 5% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

  2. Small update. $61 so far, the plan for part-time carer is now scheduled.

  3. Update from Tokyo: I made the first payment toward medication and prescriptions. We're at 2% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
