Dignity in old age: caring for Sneha
Sneha can't afford the care She needs after worsening Parkinson's disease; we're asking for $700.
🇮🇳 Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India1,044 views
I'm caring for me, who's 78. After worsening Parkinson's disease Sneha can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Sneha desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Sneha worked all of her life as a factory worker, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $700 goes:
• Part-time carer (eight months): $470
• Medication and prescriptions: $100
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $35
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $95
Every share and every dollar helps.

Thinking of you and your family, Sneha. Hope the doctors have good news. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Greetings from Manukau
Sending strength, Sneha. Hope the doctors have good news. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings.
