I'm caring for my father, who's 81. After a fall and hip fracture Sathish can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Sathish desperately wants to stay at home. I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer. Sathish worked all of his life as a carpenter, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference. Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies. Where the $750 goes: • Part-time carer (eight months): $620 • Medication and prescriptions: $70 • Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $60 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
