I'm caring for my mother, who's 74. After the death of her spouse Rylee can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Rylee desperately wants to stay at home. I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer. Rylee worked all of her life as a schoolteacher, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference. Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies. Where the $5,400 goes: • Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $570 • Hospital bed and mattress rental: $410 • Part-time carer (three months): $4,420 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Delilah
