Dignity in old age: caring for Rebecca
Rebecca can't afford the care She needs after the death of her spouse; we're asking for $550.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 75. After the death of her spouse Rebecca can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Rebecca desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 30 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Rebecca worked all of her life as a seamstress, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $550 goes:
• Part-time carer (eight months): $350
• Medication and prescriptions: $45
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $75
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $80
Thank you so much.

Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care.
Your post was clear and honest. Love from Wrocław.
wishing you peace. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Please keep us posted. All the best.
Thinking of you and your family. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. I have a 13 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
