Dignity in old age: caring for Rajan
Help Rajan stay in his own home with eight months of part-time care.

I'm caring for my father, who's 77. After a diagnosis of dementia Rajan can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Rajan desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Rajan worked all of his life as a shopkeeper, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for eight months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $750 goes:
• Part-time carer (eight months): $660
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $65
• Medication and prescriptions: $25
