I'm caring for my father, who's 84. After worsening Parkinson's disease Parth can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Parth desperately wants to stay at home. I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer. Parth worked all of his life as a nurse, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference. The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices. Where the $200 goes: • Medication and prescriptions: $65 • Hospital bed and mattress rental: $50 • Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $85 Every share and every dollar helps. - Hitesh

  • Hang in there, Hitesh. Shared it with a few friends. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.

    • sending good thoughts, Hitesh. It takes guts to ask. Well done. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. All the best

      • thinking of you and your family, Hitesh. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Take care.

        • look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Love from Cologne.

          • hope you get there. My neighbor in Rio de Janeiro donated after I showed her your page. Thinking of Kozhikode.
