Dignity in old age: caring for Otieno
Help Otieno stay in his own home with six months of part-time care.

I'm caring for me, who's 84. After a diagnosis of dementia Otieno can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Otieno desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 40 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Otieno worked all of his life as a schoolteacher, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $950 goes:
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $90
• Part-time carer (six months): $740
• Medication and prescriptions: $120
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Rooting for you, Otieno. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. After 27 years in customer support I know how hard it's to ask for anything
