Dignity in old age: caring for Okechukwu
Okechukwu can't afford the care He needs after worsening Parkinson's disease; we're asking for $400.

I'm caring for me, who's 74. After worsening Parkinson's disease Okechukwu can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Okechukwu desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Okechukwu worked all of his life as a bus driver, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $400 goes:
• Part-time carer (three months): $270
• Medication and prescriptions: $60
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $25
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $45
Thanks for being kind about this.
