Dignity in old age: caring for Nuria
Nuria can't afford the care She needs after worsening Parkinson's disease; we're asking for $950.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 79. After worsening Parkinson's disease Nuria can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Nuria desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Nuria worked all of her life as a schoolteacher, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies.
Where the $950 goes:
• Part-time carer (four months): $560
• Medication and prescriptions: $195
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $55
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $140

Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. I went through something like this 11 years ago and strangers helped me out. All the best.
Rooting for you, Rafael. Hope you get there. My neighbor in Toronto donated after I showed her your page.
